What is pro am?

Pro-am refers to a format in which professional athletes compete with amateur athletes on the same team. Typically, the pro athlete is a highly-skilled and experienced player in their sport, while the amateur is a non-professional enthusiast or enthusiast with limited experience in the sport. Pro-ams are common in sports that involve teams, such as golf, tennis, and basketball, and often serve as a promotional or fundraising event for charities or organizations. The teams are typically formed through sponsorships or invitations, and the event may be broadcasted or streamed for a wider audience. Pro-ams offer an opportunity for amateur athletes to participate in a professional-level competition and learn from experienced players, while also promoting the sport and raising awareness for a good cause.
